Reflections on London Fashion Week AW26: Artistry, Advocacy, and 180 Strand
With its 2017 ‘Enchanted Blooms’ collection, Sanyukta Shrestha puts a different spin on “flower power”. This season’s designs were inspired by the natural beauty, form, delicacy and vibrant colours of endangered and rare flowers.
The endangered flower Delphinium Luteum (also known as yellow larkspur) is a very rare species found only in a small area along the Californian coast. As of 2005 there were about 200 individuals believed to be in existence. The Delphinium’s shape and colour is echoed in a long yellow silk evening dress with rouched details.
