In planning the launch of our flagship store – Behuli By Sanyukta Shrestha, we knew that we would need the help of some very talented industry experts. We brought together a team of experts who share our vision & passion for bridal with a real love for making each bride happy. Each of our collaborators have a uniqueness & individuality that meets the needs of the bridal industry and means that they provide services above and beyond the expectations of their brides. They added their own very special element to our launch day and will continue to work with us collaboratively to do what is best for our brides.
We will be writing a blog post dedicated to each of our lovely industry friends so watch this space…..
So to begin this mini series of blogs we will introduce you to the fantastical Rebecca of Pollen Designs, Cambridgeshire. We cannot think of any special occasion that is complete without flowers. Can you? So of course it was so important to us to find a truly amazing florist, with a wonderful vision and a eye for the unique displays that really do enhance the whole look of a room & make people feel special. Rebecca, owner of Pollen Designs based in Cambridgeshire, first met Sanyukta at Designer Day event at Vow Bridal Gallery for which she has provided special posy for brides to be.
“I was touched by Sanyukta’s interest in my work; I felt honoured to be asked and I’m very excited to be working with Sanyutkta Shrestha. Her beautiful, natural and elegant designs using ecologically sound materials really compliment my style, which is for natural bouquets using as many seasonal flowers and natural materials as possible.” Rebecca
Rebecca joined us all the way from Cambridgeshire for the launch event of Behuli and created some truly unique displays. Everyone took a moment to appreciate the gorgeous flower displays which despite the warm climate still managed to keep the boutique look fresh and smelling divine.
In keeping with the elegant & timeless style that SS team created for the boutique, Rebecca created floral displays that were soft, natural and had a fantastic aroma. The colour palette was soft with lisianthus, ivory & pale pink peony roses, David Austin ‘Patience’ roses and soft wild greenery including foraged tree ivy, home grown lavender, sage & rosemary.
Rebecca’s floral designs are so beautiful, simplistic, muted palettes but arranged perfectly and always with complimenting scents that leave the room smelling amazing.
” I love Sanyukta’s belief that a wedding is a reflection of the bride’s inner beauty and this is something that I try to capture in my floral designs. ”
To create the amazing aroma that greeted our guests as soon as they entered the boutique, Rebecca used a mixture of unusual scents. She explained how Tuberose, stocks, English fennel and of course the herbs (lavender, rosemary, sage and mint) meant that the arrangements not only looked good but smell good too. The scent was the perfect balance, it was welcoming but not overwhelming.
Beautiful smaller posys of English roses, sweet peas, lavender and other flowers that we were privileged to give out to our guests token gift to show our appreciation of their support. Each of our guests were so delighted, it was lovely to be able to share Rebecca’s talent with them.
We couldn’t be more grateful to Rebecca and her team for all of their hard work. The flowers truly did make a huge difference to our day and brightened up the whole boutique. Just like Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “The earth laughs in flowers”
