Today we are excited to share a wonderful English wedding set in a truly noble venue. Rebecca and Will got married on 10th of October 2015 at the Stoke Rochford Hall in Lincolnshire. The bride walked down the aisle in a semi-bespoke Sanyukta Shrestha gown, wearing her Jimmy Choo heels and a beautiful blue topaz ring belonging to her late mother. Will’s and Rebecca’s romance began when the two met at the retail store GAP where both worked for their Saturday jobs.

THE PROPOSAL
We went away to a rented mansion in Fakenham, Norfolk with family for Christmas. Will proposed on Christmas day just after the main meal by pretending to look for a present he lost in the living room away from the main family gathering. He got me to look for it and when I turned around he was on one knee. My son Dexter was also in on the proposal and was there which was really sweet.

THE THEME
Elegant opulence!! Lol! It was very neutral with metallic accents and Grey. Grey is my favourite colour!

FINDING THE DRESS
I had tried a lot of dresses on before making a special trip to London to visit Sanyukta’s boutique Behuli. I tried on a couple of dresses and they were so comfortable and the materials were beautiful. I knew I would get my dress there. The staff were so helpful and really couldn’t do enough for me.

THE WEDDING DRESS
My Milca gown was a bespoke gown made in a different material to the original. The dress was not one I would have tried on originally looking at it on the hanger. I didn’t think it would suit me. My bridesmaid convinced me to try it and I knew it would be the one as soon as I put it on. It made me feel the best version of me I could be. On the day I felt elegant and beautiful. The dress was so comfortable and unique.

BEING A SANYUKTA SHRESTHA BRIDE
I was not aware of that Sanyukta uses fairtrade- organic fabrics before finding my wedding dress. However having learnt more about it I am all for eco-friendly. It pays to look into different fabrics. The material of my dress was truly beautiful.

MOST MAGICAL MOMENT
When I walked into the ceremony room and saw all those people smiling at me that I love, all my family and friends. And then I saw Will waiting for me at the end of the aisle.

SOMETING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE
My bridesmaids bought me an old sixpence which I stuck in my shoe. My something new was my dress, I borrowed a faux fur stole to wear over my dress for photos outside from my bridesmaid and I wore my mums ring which has a blue topaz stone in it. This last one meant a lot as my mum passed away 2 ½ years ago from cancer and I missed her terribly in the whole wedding process. She was very much a part of our wedding day.

WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING ADVICE FOR BRIDES
I would say try on styles you think you don’t like or wont suit you- you may be surprised! Always trust your gut. When you know, you know.
