In the most striking of settings, a very beautiful wedding was brought to life. Surrounded by the magnificent traditional gardens of Happo-en’ – a 400 year old garden in the middle of Tokyo – Japan, elegance and grandeur could be seen everywhere as Rachel and her husband wed in a ceremony that brought together the traditions of their heritage with their modern lifestyles.
After a civil ceremony in the day in which Rachel and her husband both took part in sake drinking based on the Japanese culture and dressed in a traditional wear, the couple then changed into their evening wear for the wedding reception. On the arm of her new husband in his dashing tuxedo, Rachel looked amazing in the bespoke wedding dress-Savannah by Sanyukta.
“The dress was so light and comfortable, I felt like a floating goddess. As I am quite petite, it was so light, it didn’t make me look like I was drowning in my dress which a lot of others I tried on did. The embroidered belt added a subtle detail to the dress which made it simple yet elegant. The tailored service was excellent and Sanyukta made every effort to make sure that the dress suited my personality, body frame and purpose (dress for reception rather than ceremony).”
After searching for five months Rachel found Sanyukta Shrestha in early September 2011 and received a personal tailored service (Besopke Service) from Sanyukta’s Bespoke Wedding team ensuring that the gown perfectly fit her petite frame & complimented her adorable personality. The wedding gown was made from soft delicate silk and soothing organic cotton, fabric that is very kind for the skin as well as for the environment while also being light & easy for travel.
With a delicate bouquet of pinks and her hair swept off her face into soft curls Rachel’s kept her bridal look elegant and effortless.
Merging traditions of there culture with a modern edge Rachel and her new husband look a picture of happiness.
From her own experience Rachel’s advise for new brides who are looking for wedding dress is:
“Try on as many dresses as you can as you will be surprised what you do and don’t look good in! Keep your options open and don’t be afraid to ask for tailored service ( dresses can be altered slightly to suit your body frame). Get a good bra and wedding shoes early to ensure your measurements are accurate for the day! Enjoy every minute of your special day!”
