Sanyukta Shrestha is a pioneer in eco-friendly and sustainable high-end fashion. Specialising in bridal and evening wear, Sanyukta aims to carry beauty from beginning to end of her design process. Sourcing eco-friendly materials sustainably, providing Fairtrade work for marginalised communities in her home country of Nepal, and hand finishing the finest details tailored to each bride.

“I believe in individuality and I enjoy bringing out inner beauty, a reflection of the personalities of the women that wear my design. For me feeling good is equally important as looking good.” – Sanyukta Shrestha

Sanyukta Shrestha was born in Nepal and grew up surrounded by nature and hardworking dedicated people. This inspired her ethos ‘Love Green – Believe in Ethics’. In her early years as a designer, Sanyukta worked as a volunteer for World Wildlife Fund Nepal (WWF) and Women’s Rehabilitation Center (WOREC Nepal) which led her to use organic fabrics and work with fair trade certified manufacturers only.

Having designed from the young age of 17, Sanyukta Shrestha established a high profile career in Nepal as a fashion designer for organisations, such as Miss World, Miss Universe and Indian Idol before choosing to further her education and graduate from the London College of Fashion in 2004.

Since then, Sanyukta has established herself as a highly sought after bridal wear designer before opening her flagship boutique ‘Behuli’ in 2011. She has received several prestigious international awards and has been highly praised by worldwide media for her commitment towards a sustainable approach and her vintage inspired designs. She has featured in leading magazines such as Conde Nast Brides, Wedding UK, Vogue Sposa, Perfect Wedding, You & Your Wedding as well as on Fashion TV. One of her recent creations has also been preserved in the prestigious Fashion Museum in Bath.

Sanyukta Shrestha’s collections are available in exclusive bridal boutiques in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, with ‘Behuli’ situated in the inner London district of Fulham. Her approach towards the use of non-chemically enhanced materials is so unique that brides from all over the world fly in to experience the real-skin feel of these eco-friendly fabrics themselves. Alongside bridal gowns and eveningwear the designer also creates exquisite accessories, millinery and flower girl dresses in her store, and 2016 has seen a number of celebrities choosing to wear her designs to prestigious events and styled on photoshoots.

With a vintage-inspired timeless aesthetic, Sanyukta Shrestha constantly pushes the norm through her use of daring silhouettes, cuts and colours, along with impeccable craftsmanship and tailoring that continues to inspire and most essentially empower.
